Osamu Suzuki (鈴木おさむ) is a Japanese screenwriter, radio personality, and television creator known for his wide-ranging work across TV dramas, variety shows, films, and stage plays. Born on April 25, 1972, in Chikura, Chiba Prefecture, he began his career as a broadcast writer at age 19 and quickly became a major figure in the Japanese entertainment industry.
Suzuki is best known for scripting the popular TV drama Busu no Hitomi ni Koishiteru, based on his own best-selling essay about his relationship with comedian Miyuki Oshima, whom he later married. His drama credits include series like Hito ni Yasashiku, Umareru., Renai Aruaru, and Rikon Shinai Otoko. In film, he wrote screenplays for works such as Handsome Suits, Shinjuku Swan, and One Piece Film: Z. He has also created original stage productions and actively participates in radio and TV as a personality himself.
