Takanori Tsujimoto (辻本 貴則) is a Japanese film and television director renowned for his contributions to action, science fiction, and horror genres. Hailing from Osaka Prefecture, Tsujimoto began his career in the film industry after initially working as a dental technician. He made his directorial debut with the short film "Two Guns" in the anthology Shin-Onna Tachiguishi Retsuden (2007).
Tsujimoto gained recognition with the Hard Revenge, Milly series (2008–2009), a pair of splatter-action films set in a post-apocalyptic world. His 2013 film Bushido Man further showcased his flair for martial arts and action storytelling.
In 2017, he directed Resident Evil: Vendetta, a CGI-animated feature that expanded the popular video game franchise's cinematic universe. Tsujimoto has also been involved in the Ultraman series, directing episodes for Ultraman X, Ultraman R/B, Ultraman Z, and Ultraman Trigger: New Generation Tiga.
His work on The Next Generation: Patlabor (2014–2015) involved directing several episodes in this live-action adaptation of the classic anime series.
Tsujimoto's dynamic direction and versatility have made him a prominent figure in Japanese genre cinema, contributing to both mainstream franchises and independent projects.
