~~ Adapted from the manga series "WIND BREAKER" (ウィンドブレイカー) by Nii Satoru (にいさとる).
Paste WIND BREAKER follows the story of Haruka Sakura, a first-year high school student with a reputation for being unbeatable in fights. Believing that strength is everything, Haruka enrolls at Fuurin High School—once known as a school for delinquents—determined to climb to the top through sheer force. He expects a place where power rules and chaos thrives. But what he finds is something entirely different.
Fuurin High is now home to a group known as the "Boufuurin"—students who, instead of causing trouble, use their strength to protect the town and its people. At first confused and frustrated by this unexpected mission, Haruka clashes with his new peers. However, through battles, shared struggles, and moments of unexpected camaraderie, he slowly begins to understand the value of friendship, loyalty, and purpose.
As Haruka settles into this new environment, a deeper bond forms among the group, turning a gang of former loners and fighters into something closer to a chosen family. Together, they face off against new threats and rival groups that challenge not only their physical limits but their ideals. The film explores how strength, when guided by conviction and unity, can become a force for good.
With high-octane fight scenes staged in powerful gusts of wind and emotionally charged character arcs, WIND BREAKER is more than just a delinquent action film—it’s a heartfelt youth drama about growing up, standing tall, and fighting for what matters most.
