A middle-aged loser travels in time to his school years, and, in order to save the love of his life from future doom, he must become the leader of a dreaded school gang.
In the live-action adaptation of "Tokyo Revengers," the story revolves around Takemichi Hanagaki, a young man who leads a mundane life working a dead-end job. Haunted by regrets and the loss of his girlfriend, Hinata Tachibana, in a tragic incident, Takemichi finds himself transported back in time to his middle school days.
Determined to change the course of fate and prevent Hinata's death, Takemichi realizes that his middle school self is deeply entwined with the violent delinquent gang, the Tokyo Manji Gang. Led by the ruthless Kisaki Tetta, the gang's actions set off a chain of events that lead to Hinata's demise.
