Kiyomi Fujii (藤井 清美) is a Japanese academic, translator, and screenwriter, renowned for her interdisciplinary contributions to language education and media. She currently serves as a Professor and Vice Chair of the English Education Program in the Division of Fundamental Education at Kanazawa Institute of Technology .

Fujii earned her BA from Kansai Gaidai University in 2001 and completed an MA in East Asian Languages & Literatures at the University of Oregon in 2005 . She then worked as a lecturer at Lawrence University and the University of Arizona before joining Kanazawa Tech in 2010, where she advanced from Associate Professor to Professor by 2018 .

Her research specialty centers on problem-based learning, sociolinguistics, second language acquisition, and foreign language education, emphasizing practical and culturally-aware teaching methodologies . She leads the university’s English Education Center and fosters collaborative, project-based learning that connects students with real-world challenges .

Fujii is also an accomplished translator, bringing numerous English-language works into Japanese, including titles on economics, politics, and cultural studies .
